Nigeria defeated Cote d’Ivoire 9-1 in the third place match of the 2015 Caf Beach Soccer Championship played at the Roche Caiman Sports Complex, Roche Caiman on Sunday afternoon.

A hat-trick from Abu Azeez, brace each from Emeka Ogbonna and Olawale Isiaka, plus a goal apiece from Bartholomew Igbenegbu and Lokosa Junior Sewanu were all the Supersand Eagles required to make up their miss for Portugal 2015 Fifa Beach Soccer World Cup and avenge their Copa Lagos 2014 dethrone to Cote d’Ivoire.

The win gives Nigeria the bronze medal despite they will not play any part in the upcoming Beach Soccer World Cup already nicked by Madagascar and Senegal.

Meanwhile, Madagascar emerged champions Earlier, Morrocco defeated Egypt to win the fifth place after Ghana routed host Seychelles 7-0 to clinch the seventh place.
