Nigerian star Osaze Odewingie as being reported to join the Potters after a long term injury over eight months.

The Stoke City striker has made good recovery from cruciate ligament injury which had kept him out of the game since August 2014 and his poised to be in good form.

“I’m joining the team (in training) again and it’s a big step in my rehab,” Odemwingie told Sky Sports News HQ.

“It’s just a bit over six months and I’m really pleased because it’s a bit earlier than some players. I hope to be mentally right but it looks OK.

“I’m not scared and hopefully I can get one or two games before the end of the season.”

Odewingie collapse in August while on Stoke City duty and since then has just made a return.
