The NFF had announced the appointment of Los Angelese-based psychologist Kasia Muoto. Her father from Anambra and her mother is Polish.
Edwin Okon, head coach of the Nigeria senior women national team, has heaped praise on the Nigeria Football Federation for hiring a psychologist for the Super Falcons ahead of their crucial upcoming international engagements.
Okon described it as a relief which would enable him to focus on training the players on the tactical aspect of the game after combining the role of a coach and psychologist since joining the team in 2012.
“The hiring of a psychologist for the team is a welcome development because I personally requested for it. We need somebody to handle it so that I can face my job of coaching the team squarely,” Okon was quoted by SportingLife .
“We need somebody of that class that will be able to psyche the players up every time we have matches. “With the presence of the psychologist now, the job will be a little bit easier for me and the rest of the technical crew,” he said.
