MANCHESTER CITY are ready to oust Chelsea in the Premier League title race once their five-days jaunt to Abu Dhabi is over, claims Jesus Navas.

The champions lie five points
behind league leaders Chelsea
after suffering a frustrating 2-0
defeat to Arsenal last weekend.

After the game they flew off to
the Middle East for a midweek
training camp and return this
weekend to face Middlesbrough
in the FA Cup.

Only then will their attention turn
to a Premier League siX-pointer
at Stamford Bridge and
midfielder Navas remains
confident City can regain ground
on their rivals.

“It’s always good (to get away),”
the Spaniard told City TV.

“The three points were
important for us on Sunday but
we have to focus on the FA Cup
game now and Chelsea after that.
“We know how crucial that game
will be. We will have to give our
best and be 100 per cent
focused.”

Navas was subbed off with 14
minutes remaining at the Etihad
as the Gunners punctured a
severe hole in City’s title chances
yesterday.

The defeat was City’s first in the
league since October, while
Chelsea confidently thrashed
Swansea 5-0 in Wales to stay on
course for the championship.
