Lagos State Univesity Student Union (LASUSU) Champions’ League is an initiative sporting event played by all
faculties in Lagos state university.
It is a football competition which brings together all the best football teams from all the ten Faculties in the University.
The teams eligible to participate in the
game are the winners and the runner-up of the “Deans Cup” played at the faculty level in each of the faculties.
Ten winners of the Dean’s Cups automatically qualified for the champions League while the ten runner-ups play the play-off where five winners of the play-off and the best looser join the initial qualified ten to play the champions’ league proper.
These sixteen (16) teams play against each other in the “Round sixteen” which is a single Elimination game (knock-out).
This league brings into circle the best football teams from all the faculties and it serves as a platform to scout for student-footballers who will represent and play in the school football team.
The Champions’ League for this year will come up from 24th November-4th December, 2014. 12pm daily, and on the final day, we hope to have top Nigerian footballers in attendance, medias, commissioner of sports
and so on.
This is one of the students union’s medium of serving her members better.
