The arena Akwa Ibom International Stadium, on September 8 has put a positive image on Nigerian football and African prowess, coupled with an opening ceremony with beautiful colours in its inauguration.

The President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan alongside President John Dramani Mahama of Ghana and Alassane Ouattarva Côte d’Ivoire’s president were all at the event alongside top government official including the Nigerian Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick.

Daniel Amokachi led the Super Eagles home-base team and Emem Uduok was the son of the soil who headed in the only and first goal at the Akwa Ibom located stadium.
