The former Netherlands coach have succumbed to the inability of his new Manchester United team to return to form as like in the glory days as he speculated earlier on.
Louis Van Gaal said that at least three month should be enough to reform the team as at the time he was giving the charge of the team but has called it a ‘stupid’ speculation that came from him.
“It was very stupid to say three months but because you (the media) are only talking about three months. It was
my stupid fault that I mentioned a period,” said the Dutchman, who stated at the start of the season that the team should be judged after three months.
“It is always the performance that counts. The performance goes up and down. When that date or match is, is dependable. It needs time and maybe
needs more time or maybe the match against West Bromwich Albion is the start of that new period.”
After the visit to the Hawthorns on Monday which United managed to grab a point with thanks to Darey Blind, the Red Devils looks forward to hosting table toppers Chelsea on Sunday
“These are very good clubs. West Brom away is difficult and, of course, Chelsea and Manchester City are the two better teams in the Premier League. When we have had these three games you can see where we are.”
