After three years of fielding home matches at the UJ Esuene stadium, the Super Eagles of Nigeria has been ordered by the National Sport Comission, NSC to move to the capital, Abuja to continue the African Cup of Nations qualifiers starting against Sudan.

The Cross River state government led by the governor Liyel Imoke have been taking care of the welfare of the National team since the Nigerian Football Federation claim to have less funds to cater for the team and also the fact that the Calabar location generate more spectatorship than that of Abuja.

The NSC clamed that the situation of the pitch is not favourable due to its water-logging and drainage conditions and the bad image publicity it has caused and will hereby communicate with Confederation of African Football, CAF to change of venue for the Super Eagles.

Nigeria may play Sudan in Abuja in October, should NSC hold its stand.
