According to reports, the Bianconeri is closed to signing the former AC Milan boss on a two-year deal as they await approval from the club president.
Juventus president Andrea Agnelli is being wait upon to give the go-ahead for the new gaffer after Antonio Conte on Tuesday announce his departure from the club.
Conte guided the Turin side to three consecutive Serie A titles after taking over in the summer of 2011, but announced his resignation having grown frustrated with club over their transfer policy.
General director Giuseppe Marotta has agreed a two year deal with Allegri but the President of the club is still yet to put pen to paper, he will meet with the rest of the board to finalise things.
Allegri, 46, has been out of a job since being dismissed by Milan in January, with the Rossoneri in the midst of a nightmare season when they trailed Juve by as many as 30 points.
Allegri joined the San Siro outfit in 2010 after two successful seasons in charge of Cagliari.
He led the Rossoneri to the scudetto and the Italian Supercup in 2010-11, his first season in charge, and was voted by his peers as 2011’s Serie A coach of the Year.
