Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho prefers the Nigerian national team to qualify alongside Argentina to the round of 16 in the World Cup

The Portuguese spoke at a Yahoo global ambassadors event accepting to be biased and emotional about his choice, he said “Argentina has to be the group winner and what makes me decide for Nigeria is the fact that I have there one player there.”

Mourinho also tipped Ivory Coast to the second round “I’m very emotional, I go always with my friends,” Mourinho said in reference to his backing of the Ivorians, who will battle Greece, Japan and Colombia in Group C.

Ivory Coast and Nigeria will play their opener against Japan, June 14 in Recife and Iran June 16 in Curitiba respectively.
