Stephen Keshi has opted the Championship for African Nation (CHAN) most valuable player Ejike Uzoenyi as the best option for replacement of the injured Left-back.

Many have speculated Taye Taiwo to be the substitute but rather Enugu Rangers midfielder is the chosen one.

Elderson Echiejile suffered a muscle tear in the goalless draw against Greece on Tuesday and could be out for three weeks maximum and the team officials are not ready to risk taking an injured player to the tournament.

Uzoenyi, who cried in the team bus after he was informed by Stephen Keshi, that he did not make the initial 23-man squad, will now get his chance to
impress in Brazil.
