According to reports, the Nigerian junior tennis teams progress to the round of last eight of the boy’s single, boy’s doubles, girl’s doubles and mixed doubles event at the African Youth Games in Botswana.

In the games played on Tuesday (boys singles), Nigeria’s Sylvester Emmanuel defeated Innocent Chidimani from Botswana 6 – 4, 6 – 2, while Elizabeth Pam lost to seventh Rated Sarah Sergio of South Africa 6 – 7, 6 – 4, 6 – 3 and in the mixed doubles Nigeria cruised with a two sets win 6 – 4, 7 – 6. 

The national junior team coach Muhammad Ubale told Brilafm.net that they will take each game with seriousness.
 
 ‘’We will take every game as it come and we are fully motivated to go all the way’’ Ubale concluded.

Nigeria will file out later on Wednesday against South Africa in the boys single followed by three double games which are the mixed, Boy’s and the girls’ doubles.
