The recent backbone of Middlesborough
defensive line-up Kenneth Omeruo was linked
with a move to the French side of Olympique
Lyonnais. The player denied moving from his
mother team Chelsea to the French
campaigners.
Omeruo is currently with the Boro squad from
Chelsea FC. The lonee played six matches for
Middlesborough so far and noted some quite
impressive moments. To sum up in all six matches
he played in the red shirt the team conceded only
two goals: against Sheffield Wednesday (0-1) and
Nottingham Forrest (1-1).
The player was linked with a move to France but the
gossip turned out to be not true.
The strong central defender will probably make it to
the 23-man squad for the Brazilian World Cup as
Stephen Keshi sees him as a good and confident
defender.
Omeruo will strive to fight for the place in the
Chelsea squad for the 2014-2015 season but the
road is long and hard. A good performance at the
World Cup could change Jose Mourinho’s mind
though.
