NPFL SUMMARY
El Kanemi Warriors lost 1-0 away to newly-promoted FC Taraba in a week 3 game of the 2013/14 Glo Nigeria Premier League played on Saturday.
FC Traba striker, Luther Iyorhe scored the match winner in the 76th minute to seal maximum points for his team and send El Kanemi Warriors empty handed back to Maiduguri despite their effort to share the spoils.
Vice-chairman of El Kanemi Warriors, Modu Adamu Bata, blamed their slim 1-0 loss to the Jalingo based club on biased officiating by the centre referee.
“The goal that we conceded shouldn’t have stood because the player who scored the goal controlled the ball with his hand and the assistant referee raised his flag, but dropped it after the centre referee accepted the goal,” said Adamu Bata.
