It was quite sure that the out-of-favour
Nigerian star John Obi Mikel would change his
Chelsea shirt after the season, and Inter Milan is a very probable direction for the 26-year-
old.
Inter Milan needs a defensive midfielder at the
moment and it’s more than sure that the Italian side
will bolster their ranks after the World Cup with such
player.
The fee for the player is high though – Chelsea want
€17 million – it’s a amount of money a reasonable
man wouldn’t pay for the player but there is also a
loan-move option. The fee is so high because of the
length of the player’s contract, which ends in June
2017.
Obi Mikel was kicked out of the Chelsea squad by
Namanja Matic making only 9 appearances for The Blues this season.
