Real Betis 0-2 Sevilla (Agg 2-2, Pens 3-4)

Betis crash out via penalty at Estadio Benito Villamarín.
The visitors completed a turnaround by overturning the two-goal first-leg deficit and eventually securing victory in a dramatic penalty
shootout.
Reyes got the first goal for Sevilla via an Alberto assist in the 20th minute, while in the 75th minute C.Bacca doubled their lead with Alberto getting himself in the assist sheet twice.
Baptista was instrumental in the game with several attempt but none got him on the score sheet.
Betis came into the game with two goals advantage, but failed to keep ahead, after 120 minutes of play.
Nono’s penalty miss for Real Betis gifted Sevilla a place in the Europa League last eight after a stunning second-leg comeback.

Salzburg 1-2 Basel (Agg 1-2):

Ten men Basel book their place in the quarter finals.
Marco Streller’s 50th minute goal and Gastón Sauro 60th minute goal was just the brace for the Swiss side to go through, which canclled out Salzburg’s early minute opener by Jonatan Soriano via Kevin Kampl nicely put assist in the 22nd minute.
It was goalless between the two side in the first-leg tie in Switzerland, but the visitors were able to edge the home-side with 1-2 on aggregate, as Roger Schmidt’s side won the day even after 9th minute red card dishing on Marek Suchy.

Napoli 2-2 Porto (Agg 2-3):

Quaresma decidergoal sends Benitez’s side out and book a place in the
quarter-final.
The wonder winger scored a wondergoal which saw Benitez men crash-out of the UEFA Cup.
Goran Pandev via Higuains pass made the home side on the equal on aggregate before Nabil Ghilas 69th minute return situation back to normal on aggregate.
Josue was the architect of Quaresma’s 76th minute strike which sealed up the quarter final spot for the Portuguese side.
Duván Zapata of scored in the die-minute but four minutes was too short to score two more goals to make the qualify.
Porto will be joined by AZ Alkmaar, Valencia, Basel, Sevilla, Juventus, Lyon and Benfica in the Europa League
quarter-finals.

Fiorentina 0-1 Juventus (Agg 1-2):

After a first-leg 1-1 draw in Turin Juventus sealed a 2-1 aggregate win over Italian rivals Fiorentina after Andrea Pirlo’s superb strike gave them a 1-0 win and sent Conte’s side through to the quarter-final at the Artemio Franchi on Thursday.
Gonzalo Rodríguez (Fiorentina) received another yellow card in the 69th minute and reduced Fiorentina to ten men, just in the 71st minute Pirlo puts one past the goalkeeper and sealed a place for the Bianconeri in the quater final.

Benfica 2-2 Tottenham (Agg 5-3):

Spurs loss 1-3 at White Hart Lane was the major blow for their crash out as Chadli-inspired comeback not enough for Tim Shearwood’s men to go through.
Ezequiel Garay’s first-half strike and a late penalty saw the hosts through and totally cancelled out a consolating 78th and 79th minutes Nacer Chadli (Tottenham) and Harry Kane’s goals and assists.
Uefa Cup fall out adds to Shearwood’s recent loses including defeats by Chelsea and Arsenal.

Viktoria Plzen 2-1 Lyon (Agg 3-5):

Les Gones withstand late rally to dump out Czechs.
Despite a 2-1 loss to Viktoria Plzen on Thursday evening, Lyon progressed to the quarter finals of the Europa League
having recorded a 5-3 win over two legs.

Plzen 60th minute strike levelled up 45+3 minutes Bafetimbi Gomis (Olympique Lyonnais) where he opened the scoring, later on Stanislav Tecl (FC Viktoria Plzeň) missed a penalty advantage in the 70th minute after Milan Petržela (FC Viktoria Plzeň) assisted him to find the net in the 62nd minute.
After trailing a 4-1deficit in the first-leg FC Viktoria Plzeň just couldn’t make it through.

Valencia 1-0 Ludogorets (Agg: 4-0):

Valencia striker Paco Alcacer headed home in the second half to wrap up a routine 1-0 win at home to Ludogrets and secure a comfortable 4-0 victory on aggregate in the Europa League last 16.
The striker scored in 59th minute via a Federico Nicolás Cartabia (Valencia) assist which added to their 3-0 win of the first leg.

Anzhi Makhachkala 0-0 AZ (Agg 0-1):

AZ edged with a tight margin after a goalless draw in Russia.
The Eredivisie outfit won the first leg 1-0 and a spirited showing against the home side was enough to send them through to the next round.
